ABOUT
Hi, I’m Purvanshi . A Computer Science major, graduating in 2029.
I’ve built a handful of projects so far and I’m currently building Memora, while diving head-first into AI, startups, and figuring out how things actually work under the hood.
I’m 20, relentlessly curious, and a jack of all trades. I enjoy learning across domains and connecting ideas, which often shapes how I approach building and problem-solving.
Apart from this, I enjoy watching motorsports, reading, and following ideas that spark my curiosity.
PROJECTS
Needle
A zero-dependency full-text search engine written entirely in Go using the standard library.
Indexes local files with an inverted index and BM25-style ranking, supporting phrase queries, exclusions, persistent storage, crash recovery, and directory indexing. Ranked #5 out of 295 at Zero Dependency 2026.
DogFood 2026
An open-source hackathon submission and judging platform built for Hackathon Raptors.
Designed around role isolation, deadline enforcement, judging integrity, normalization, acceptance testing, and offline self-hosting.
Narrative Control Analyzer
A tool that analyzes how emotional language and narrative framing influence reader perception when different media report the same event.
Compares emotional bias, dominant framing, and potential reader beliefs using large language models.
Memora
A relationship memory app built to help users quickly search people, log memories, and keep track of context across conversations.
Brings together people, memories, connections, and reminders in one interface so important details are easier to recall and revisit.
Ascension
A game-inspired productivity engine that turns tasks into quests, goals into boss fights, and daily consistency into XP-based progress.
Built as a scalable backend system with progression logic, rewards, streak mechanics, theme switching, and structured API routes.
SnapLink
A full-stack URL shortener with custom aliases, QR code generation, redirect handling, click tracking, and a browser-based dashboard.
Built as a stronger backend showcase with a polished frontend, reusable Express structure, analytics basics, and production-style deployment flow.
SweatNet
A browser-based fitness verification system that uses real-time, on-device pose detection to gate access to entertainment behind biometrically verified exercise.
Built as a working satire of movement-based social credit systems, with exercise detection, liveness checks, and downloadable compliance certificates rendered directly in the browser.
WRITING
We Built the Hackathon Platform That Was Going to Judge Us
We went into DogFood 2026 thinking we were building a hackathon platform. Somewhere between an exam, broken acceptance checks, messy fixture data, role isolation, judging normalization, and Docker, it became something much more interesting.
A behind-the-scenes look at what we planned, what broke, what we changed, and what building a system meant to be trusted actually taught me.
